Chapter LX of the Special Forces Association announces its inaugural Sporting Clays Tournament at FIshHawk Sporting Clays in Riverview, Florida.  The purpose of the inaugural tournament is to raise money for the Green Beret Foundation, Operation One Voice, and our Chapter so that we can expand our influence in the Special Operations and Tampa Bay communities, and continue supporting our Special Operations warriors and their families.

The Chapter sponsors the Richard J. Meadows Memorial Scholarship program, which presents a minimum of three $5,000 scholarships each year, to perpetuate the memory and values of Major Richard J. Meadows, and to help great kids.

President Jerry King, President Emeritus Lee Vannes, and Dr. Pam Meadows and Ms. Pat King present $5,000 scholarships to our 2009 winners, Michael Tenuta, Jordan King and Tyler Wittman.

We do our best to assist other organizations that support veterans and veteran's causes in the Tampa Bay area.

Chapter President Jerry King presents a check for $500 to American Legion Post #139 President Dave Delong following the 2009 Golf Tournament.

A Freedom Level ($10,000 plus) donor, Chapter LX supports the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, because we support those who care for the families of our fallen comrades.

General Holland, CDR USSOCOM, Wayne Rich, Chapter LX President, and MCPO Rogers, USSOCOM Sr Enlisted Advisor, present a check for $3000.00 to John Carney, President of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

And we contribute to such causes as the SOF Memorial in order to honor and never forget those we left behind.......

Plaque on the SOF Memorial dedicated to all Special Forces POW and MIA.
